IMPORTANT 2: The Samsung TV app was reverted to the previous version, but users will need to reinstall the app in order to be able to log in, see post
IMPORTANT: The users have made us aware of a critical bug introduced in this new update, we have made a request to Samsung to rollback the latest version. Reverting this version can take a few days, due to the long process of releasing new updates for the Samsung TV app we can release a new version in 2-3 weeks.
We just released a new version of the Stremio Samsung TV app! Here’s what changed:
- Fixed an issue where the layer overlay was always visible when a subtitles failed to load
- Fixed an issue with the blue subtitles text color
- Fixed default subtitles and audio tracks
- Added empty Library placeholder
- Added Vietnamese, Finish and Korean languages
- Renamed ‘Rewind to beginning’ to ‘Dismiss’
- Will now pause the player when pressing Enter/OK while in player
What about LG TV
the new update is very bad !! I cannot watch anything properly ; the message : “unknown error” or ” your device does not support the stream ” keeps popping up,
we will be rolling back (can take a few days) to the previous version because of this critical bug, we edited the post to include this
Excellent update, thanks so much for the effort and keep it going!
Now when I choose a movie on my samsung tv stremio app, while loading the stream says “unknown error” and won’t play any movies. Please fix 🙏

A few problems coming through on Reddit since this update
It would be great if you could set a vertical offset for subtitles and also subtitles sync on the Samsung TV app.
The synchronization of the content between the devices and the App and Samsung tv does not match, and I hope that the issue of audio and subtitles can finally be solved🙏😊📺
I thought I’m the only one having this issue! Hoping to get that fixed soon too! 🙂
