Stremio Android TV Hotfix

Posted on June 23, 2023September 8, 2023 by Alex

We just released Stremio Android TV v1.5.10 with the following changes:

  • Fixed allowing to install app on external drive
  • Fixed failing to play streams which require custom request headers
  • Fixed crash when device does not support DisplayMode API
  • Fixed crash when duplicate subtitles are returned by addons
  • Fixed crash due to NPE exceptions
  • Fixed a bug when torrent is infinitely loading with connections to peers, but not downloading
  • Show toast when switching refresh rate or when display mode for refresh rate is not found
  • Small bug fixes / improvements

Some users have reported that they have various issues due to the new frame rate matching features added in the previous (v1.5.8) Stremio release, we would like to remind everyone that there is a setting (Playback > Frame rate matching) for this in the app, and it can also be disabled from there.

For those that installed through Google Play, the app will be auto-updated within the next 24-48h (you can also try to update manually by searching for the app on Google Play and pressing the “update” button if it is available). For those that sideloaded the app, you can download the app from the official downloads page. (use this link for the new v1.5.10 downloads, as the site cache may persist for the next 24h)

Does this update fix the already reported ” continue watching” which currently does not retain episodes of a series that you are watching? In other words, previously, if you were watching a series with say 6 episodes and had only watched the first one or two, it would be shown in ” continue watching” next time you reopened the app.

    Hello, from the article:

‘For those that installed through Google Play, the app will be auto-updated within the next 24-48h’

So, in the next few hours it will be available on Google Play.
